Sales of digital music totalled $3.7 billion last year, but these accounted for just 5% of all downloads, according to figures compiled by the IFPI
In its Digital Music Report 2009, the IFPI said that the value of digital music sales grew by 25%, meaning that they account for about 20% of all recorded music sales.
