The.co.nl launch will consist of four phases – two sunrise stages, followed by a landrush and go-live period.
The first sunrise phase (known as the grandfather period) runs from November 18 at 10.00 am to January 15 2009 at 10.00 am. During this phase, owners of a .nl domain name can apply for its identical form under .co.nl.
But the second sunrise period, during which owners of registered trade marks in any country can apply for a .co.nl domain, runs for just 16 days from February 10 to February 26.
These applications will be validated by Deloitte, who also validated the .eu and .asia sunrise periods.
The landrush period, which runs from March 17 at 2.00 pm to March 31 at 2.00 pm, allows applicants to secure any brand or generic name, without proving prior rights.
Finally, general applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from April 15 at 2.00 pm.
