Marks & Clerk Solicitors, the associated law firm of Marks & Clerk patent and trade mark attorneys, has set up an associated Hong Kong law firm.
The firm will be headed by Anthony Evans, a former partner of Hong Kong solicitors Robin Bridge & John Liu, and will trade as Anthony Evans & Co.
In August 2007 the attorney firm
merged
with rival Lloyd Wise, adding 20 patent and trade mark attorneys in Singapore and 10 in Hong Kong.
Under Law Society regulations in Hong Kong, Anthony Evans & Co cannot at present adopt the name of Marks & Clerk.
