US-EPO patent highway launched

Managing Intellectual Property

The USPTO and EPO today launched a year-long pilot patent prosecution highway programme.

The programme is designed to enable patent applicants who apply in both offices to obtain patents more quickly, thanks to a reduction in the duplication of work.

Forms to request participation in the programme are available on the EPO website and must be submitted in paper with supporting documents.
