CHILE: A new law in Chile has established the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI), an agency linked to the President of the Republic through the Ministry of Economy. INAPI will have greater powers than its predecessor, the Industrial Property Department, including advising the president on IP matters and proposing Chile's accession to international treaties and conventions.
