Blakes bolsters IP group with former Ogilvy partners

Ottawa firm Blake Cassels & Graydon (Blakes) has boosted its intellectual property group with the additions of former Ogilvy Renault partners Paul Sharpe and Kent Daniels.

Sharpe is a registered patent agent whose background is in chemical process engineering. His practice is focused chiefly in the chemical, biochemical and pharmaceutical fields, with an emphasis on gas and oil processing.

Daniels is also a registered patent agent, and in the past decade he has helped Canadian high-tech companies to secure international patent protection for cutting-edge technology. He specializes in telecommunications, optics, computer-related technologies and business methods patents.
