Central International Law firm, a litigation specialist, has bought prosecution boutique L&K Patent Firm.
The acquisition gives the firm eight extra patent attorneys, including a former chief administrative patent judge of the Korean Intellectual Property Office tribunal board, one US lawyer and 35 staff members.
The buyout took effect on April 1. The combined firm now has 33 patent attorneys, 10 Korean attorneys-at-law and four American lawyers.
In February, full-service law firm Yulchon formed a strategic partnership with YP Lee Mock & Partners, a specialist in prosecution work.
