IPTEC conference details announced

Technology transfer specialists from QinetiQ, Kodak, the Max Planck Institute, NASA and DSM will be among those speaking at this year’s IPTEC conference

The IPTEC event, now in its third year, will be held in Frankfurt, Germany on June 11 and 12.

The event will feature exhibitors and networking opportunities for all organizations involved in technology transfer.

This year, the new technology presentations – where inventors or businesses have the opportunity to present their technology available for licensing in 15-minute slots – will be expanded.

The conference programme, which is again organized in association with Managing IP, will feature case studies of technology licensing deals completed by major companies, institutes and universities as well as interactive workshops.

The two themes of this year’s conference are the latest technology transfer trends and opportunities in new markets.

For example, Pejman Dvedan, managing director of DSM Licensing Center will speak about green technologies and Tim Bernstein of Yet2.com will discuss technologies that are attracting increased interest.

The conference will also have a global spread of speakers, including Zhengping Liu, deputy general manager of Coway International in Beijing who will speak about technology transfer into China.

More information, and details of how to register, are available at the IPTEC website. Further speakers will be announced soon; check the website regularly for updates.
