Goodwin Procter adds three to Palo Alto IP practice

Goodwin Procter has hired three partners from Heller Ehrman and Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear to join the firm’s IP practice group in Palo Alto, California.

Ginger Dreger and Paul Davis previously worked in the patents and trade marks practice at Heller Ehrman. Dreger headed the group’s life sciences patent prosecution practice, advising clients such as Genentech. Davis served as chair of Heller Ehrman’s patents and trade marks practice group, and has over 25 years of experience working with technology companies in Silicon Valley.

Nancy Vensko joins Goodwin Procter from Knobbe Martens, where she served as managing partner for the San Luis Obispo office and focused her practice on patent prosecution, interference, oppositions and providing strategic advice on patent portfolios to biotechnology clients.

The three additions mark the firm’s latest effort to expand its California presence. Since the firm’s Palo Alto office opened in June 2007, 29 attorneys have joined.
