Tamiko Franklin of Matijevich Law Offices has been appointed director general of the Virtual Intellectual Property Organization.
Since June 2007, Tamiko has offered her expertise in the area of transactional IP matters to residents of Second Life. Due to the overwhelming response to her services and interest concerning her activities in this growing area of law, we are pleased that Tamiko, known in Second Life as Juris Amat, will now act as Director-general for the Organization.
Her first act will be to expand its services, which already include licensing, Second Life Patent and Trademark Office filings and initial enforcement support, to encompass the areas of counterfeit trade watch and virtual property management reporting.
