Managing IP and Ocean Tomo invited IP practitioners to discuss strategies, legal trends and other issues relating to the increasingly important topic of patent sales, acquisitions and valuation
More than 500 people registered to hear speakers representing a range of perspectives share their ideas about the licensing, sale and acquisition of intellectual property assets in an August 30 web seminar organized by Managing IP and entitled Patent Sales, Acquisitions and Valuation. The first two panellists outlined issues that IP sellers need to consider, as well as recent trends and strategies to adopt, while the last two participants addressed the acquirer's perspective. The event was organized in association with Ocean Tomo and included polls of the online audience, as well as a question and answer session.
