LVMH anti-counterfeiting manager joins Gide

Daniel Plane has joined the Hong Kong office of French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel as an associate.

Before joining Gide, Plane was senior anti-counterfeiting manager for LVMH Fashion Group in Hong Kong. Prior to that he managed Nokia’s brand protection strategy in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and was a senior associate with Baker & McKenzie in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Plane is a member of the Wisconsin bar and is fluent in Mandarin.

While working for LVMH, Plane played a key role in implementing in Asia the company’s strategy of targeting landlords whose tenants sell fake goods.
