Technology specialist Taylor Joynson Garrett has unveiled a specialized Data Protection
and Privacy Help Desk to advise clients on the obligations businesses face under the
provisions of recent legislation.
The Help Desk will advise users on compliance issues brought about by the Data
Protection Act of 1998 and the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.
Taylor Joynson said the cost of the service would be fixed at £800 ($1,160) a year, and
it aims to help users fully understand questions such as the permissible use of personal
data, transfer of personal data, collection methods and corporate and personal liability
for companies and their employees.
Said Help Desk analyst Sally Annereau: "We are aware that increasing numbers of
businesses find a fixed price resource very beneficial in order to get swift and cost
effective responses to the complex issues that arise day to day in relation to regulatory
issues such as Data Protection."
