Customs - the INTA's perspective

National governments wishing to raise awareness of intellectual property so as to encourage investment of intellectual as well as financial capital in creativity and innovation must be seen to be dealing effectively and efficiently with the most obvious and direct forms of infringement. There is a golden opportunity for governments that wish to promote the importance of intellectual property rights among their own peoples and industries to adopt and demonstrate a firm stand against counterfeiting.
