China shuts out foreign IP owners

Global technology companies have condemned new Chinese rules that could prevent companies that hold their IP outside China from winning government contracts

The Instructions for National Indigenous Innovation Product Application Procedures require companies that want to sell high-technology products to the government to be accredited based on "indigenous innovation". The government will give preferential treatment to accredited products. A translation of the document has been prepared by US Information Technology Office.
