It would be rash to predict exactly what the long-term impact of the credit crunch will be, such has been the mesmerising pace of change over the past few months. But what is beyond doubt is that there will be an impact. The difficulty of raising money and a fall in consumer spending as well as the likelihood of increased unemployment and underperforming investments will mean that companies will be monitoring all parts of the business and that includes intellectual property.
